PadamPadam is a Korean barbecue restaurant that opened in New York City in late 2022. On opening day it had what every new restaurant has: an empty Facebook page, an empty Instagram account, a website nobody had visited and a city full of established competitors two blocks in every direction.
The owners wanted the place to feel like it had always been there. That meant followers who lived nearby, a steady stream of first visits, and search results that surfaced the restaurant when someone typed Korean BBQ into their phone.

Facebook and Instagram were built from nothing with daily posting around the food and the room, and a small traffic campaign sent people to the menu and reservations page at a cost that made every click worth it. Page likes campaigns grew a local following that the organic posts could then reach for free.
On the site, page structure and copy were tuned for local search, which is where the 156 ranking keywords came from.
