How to Use Facebook Advertising

It’s no secret – the social media platform that dominates all others is Facebook. To increase sales or improve awareness about your business you need to make sure that your social media outreach is on point. One of the best ways to do this is through Facebook’s ads and their direct targeting system.

Facebook ads are targeted to users based on different demographics and profile information. For example, you can set an ad to target men ages 22-25 who like skateboarding in California. All of this information Facebook has through a person’s profile so it’s easy for very specific targeting.

Facebook’s ad targeting comes in a few select categories. You can target users based on:

  • Location
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Interests
  • Connections
  • Relationship Status
  • Languages
  • Education
  • Workplaces

Each option gives you a different set of parameters to bring to your targeted Facebook ad. Let’s say you’re a jewelry shop that sells out of Chicago, IL and ships free to other parts of the state. Through Facebook targeting you would want to make sure your location is set to Illinois, you would focus the age based on who you believe would want to purchase your jewelry and then you would most likely choose the gender for the ad as women since women do tend to purchase more jewelry. You can also use targeting to find users that list jewelry or some aspect of jewelry in their interests.

Seem like a lot? It can be. Each ad that you create for Facebook has to be tailored to your selected audience. This means that you can be as precise or broad as you want.

If you want to target your audience through Facebook ads and you’re looking for help, Facebook ads are one of the things that BusySeed does best. Give us a call at 888.353.1484 to schedule a social media audit today.

Google Discovery can generate significant traffic quickly, but volatility is built into its AI-driven distribution model. Creative fatigue, shifting audience signals, and automated budget reallocation cause performance swings that look random but aren't. Stability comes from stronger signal control, disciplined creative rotation, and tighter conversion feedback loops.
