How to use Facebook Stories for Marketing

Is Facebook video part of your marketing tactic? Are you questioning how Facebook’s short-form video set-up could support your business? Facebook Stories offers a new video format to Facebook that thoroughly resembles Instagram Stories. In this post, you’ will learn what you need to know to prosper with Facebook Stories.

If you haven’t operated any of the other Stories apps offered from Snapchat, Instagram, or Messenger Day, then the Facebook Stories interface might look unusual. Like the content on these other apps, stories on Facebook disappear after 24 hours of being posted.

Facebook Stories is located at the top of your mobile news feed and has two different parts: Direct and Stories.

You’ll discover Direct at the top left-hand side of your news feed and you can open it by selecting the paper airplane image. Direct is a fresh private messaging feature linked with Stories, and it allows you to examine any story images or videos sent to you directly. You can also see any responses to your own stories. Reminder: Direct is a detached feature from Messenger, and unlike Messenger, you can only start a conversation with a story image or video, not with text.

Generating a story involves taking either an image or a video, or using content you have kept on your phone. If you have no current story on display and want to start one, look for the circle that appears at the top of the news feed (Your Story) with a ‘+’ sign next to it. You’ll be able to retrieve the Facebook camera by tapping on it. To insert more images or videos to one of your current stories, you’ll need to retrieve the camera by either swiping right from the news feed or by clicking on the Direct icon and then clicking the blue box that says Send Photo/ Video at the bottom.

For the time being, you can capture a photo by tapping the button in the middle at the bottom. Capture the video (up to 40 seconds long) by continuing to hold the button down, or select an image or video already saved on your camera roll. Unlike Instagram Stories, this option isn’t limited to images taken in the last 24 hours only. Now, you have the choice to erase the image or video or add filters, masks, and/or text or your image or video. You can even layer one on top of another. You can also save the image or video to your camera roll before or after adding extra scribbles either before or after capturing.

When using Facebook Stories for marketing, the worthiest consideration is that only those people associated to you as Facebook friends will see your stories. In order to take advantage of this new opportunity for marketing your business, you will need to add to your Facebook friends list who you want to appeal to and interact with as a business.

Facebook Stories allows a way to deliver time-sensitive content to your personal Facebook network.

Use the understandings and tactics in this article to leverage this newest Facebook feature to your advantage by creating specialized and engaging content that promotes you and your business.
